Tenjuan – Syorenin Course

The Tenjuan – Syorenin Course is a daring detour along the Shira-kawa.The course is less touristy.

The red line on the map is about 2.45 km (about 1.52 miles) away, or about 49 minutes by foot.

Along the Shira-kawa, with its impressive weeping willows, there is a narrow bridge called “Ippon-bashi.Ippon-bashi is the first bridge that the high priests of Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei cross after their ascetic training.
