Raigoin

Raigoin(来迎院) is an ancient temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism, whose principal deities are Yakushi Nyorai, Shakyamuni Nyorai, and Amitabha Nyorai.

The temple was originally built by Jikaku Daishi Ennin in the early Heian period (794-1185) as a place to practice Buddhist chanting (shomyo).
