Kyoto Aquarium(京都水族館) is one of the largest inland aquariums in Japan. Most of the approximately 3,000 tons of seawater used is artificial seawater.
Visitors can see up close about 15,000 creatures of about 250 species in nine zones, including a large tank with about 50 species swimming in about 500 tons of artificial seawater.
From the Dolphin Stadium, you can see the five-story pagoda of the World Heritage Toji Temple and the Shinkansen bullet train at the same time. If you get a stamp on your hand, you can re-enter the stadium only on the same day.
