Umekoji Park(梅小路公園) is an urban park located 1.2 km from Kyoto Station (about a 15-minute walk).

The slide (14 meters high), rope jungle gym (6 meters high), and chin-chin train (operated on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) are popular among children.

In Umekoji Park, there is a restaurant and Suzaku-no-niwa (garden for a fee), where you can see cherry blossoms in the spring and maple trees in the fall.

From Umekoji Park, it is about a 10-minute walk to the World Heritage Nishi Honganji Temple and about a 10-minute walk to the World Heritage Toji Temple. Access to Umekoji Koen from Kyoto Station is approximately 2 minutes by JR train.
