The World Heritage Site of Kinkakuji Temple(金閣寺)(Golden Temple) is a Zen temple of the Shokokuji School of Rinzai Zen Buddhism, officially called Rokuonji.
The Kinkaku (Shariden) is a three-story building with three different structures and names: the first layer is the Hosui-in (sleeping quarters) style, the second layer is the Choon-do (samurai-style) style, and the third layer is the Kukkyo-cho (Zen Buddhism-style) style.
In particular, the Golden Pavilion stands out even more in the snow.It is popular among foreign tourists.
Access to Kinkakuji Temple from Kyoto Station takes about 34 minutes by bus.
