Kyoto Culture Museum(京都文化博物館) introduces the history and culture of Kyoto in an easy-to-understand manner.
The impressive red brick annex building is the former Bank of Japan Kyoto branch, built in 1900.
On the first floor of the main building, there is a roji store inspired by the streets of Kyoto in the Edo period (1603-1867), where visitors can enjoy dining and shopping for Kyoto accessories.
From Kyoto Station to Kyoto Culture Museum is a 5-minute ride on the Kyoto Municipal Subway and a 3-minute walk from Karasuma-Oike Station.
