Kyoto National Museum

The Kyoto National Museum（京都国立博物館） has a collection of more than 10,000 items.

The main gate (important cultural property) is flanked by A. Rodin’s Thinker, and behind it is the Baroque-style Meiji Ancient Capital Building, which is used for special exhibitions.

The Heisei Chishinkan (Ordinary Exhibition Hall) displays mainly items from the museum collection and has a restaurant. The café can be used without an admission ticket.

entrance fee	Gallery of Masterpieces (regular exhibition): Adults 700 yen, college students 350 yen / Garden: Adults 300 yen, college students 150 yen※Special exhibitions are charged separately.※Free admission to the Gallery of Masterpieces (regular exhibition) for high school students and younger, those under 18 years old, and those over 70 years old upon presentation of proof of age.
