Ichihime Shrine(市比賣神社) is dedicated to the five goddesses. It is said that the shrine was first built in 795 as a guardian shrine. It was revered by successive emperors.

Since all the deities are female, the shrine is especially beneficial to women and is known as a “shrine to ward off bad luck for women.

Women are given a “women’s good luck charm” and a doll-shaped “hime-mikuji” to wish for their happiness.

To get to Ichihiru Shrine from Kyoto Station, it is about a 7-minute bus ride or a 15-minute walk (1.2 km).
