Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art

The main building of the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art（京都市京セラ美術館） is the oldest existing public museum building in Japan.

Entering the main entrance on the basement floor from Kyocera Square, a slope-shaped plaza, you will find ticket booths, stores, and cafes.

On the rooftop of the Higashiyama Cube in the northeast is the Higashiyama Cube Terrace (free of charge), where you can see the Daimonji of the Gozan Okuribi bonfire and part of the Otenmon Gate of Heian Jingu Shrine.

From Kyoto Station to the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art takes about 31 minutes by Kyoto City Bus. From Kyoto Municipal Subway Higashiyama Station, it is approximately an 8-minute walk.
