Shiramine Jingu Shrine(白峯神宮) was founded by Emperor Meiji.
Shiramine Jingu Shrine is known as a guardian deity of sports and is revered by those involved in soccer and other ball games.
On July 7, kemari is dedicated at the ball garden.
To get to Shiramine Jingu Shrine from Kyoto Station, take a 22-minute bus ride. Alternatively, take the Kyoto Municipal Subway for a 9-minute ride or 10-minute walk from Imadegawa Station.
