Syakuzoji Temple

Syakuzoji Temple(石像寺) is locally known as Kuginuki Jizo or “Kuginuki-san.Kugi means nail and nuki means to pull out.

Legend has it that “Jizo Bodhisattva appeared in a dream and cured a merchant suffering from a hand ailment by removing two nails from his hand.”It is called “Kugi-nuki Jizo ” because it pulls out suffering.
