Arashiyama
Arashiyama（嵐山） is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kyoto, known for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage.
The area around Togetsu Bridge is called Arashiyama, which derives its name from Arashiyama, a 375-meter-high mountain located south of the Oigawa River.
A short walk from Togetsu Bridge leads to the World Heritage Site Tenryuji Temple and bamboo groves.On the Oigawa River (Hozu River upstream), visitors can enjoy the famous Hozu River rafting or rent boats.
From Kyoto Station to Arashiyama takes about 16 minutes by JR train. From Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station to Hankyu Arashiyama Station (transfer at Katsura Station) takes about 43 minutes.
