The Sagano Trolley Train(嵯峨野トロッコ列車) is a sightseeing train that runs from Trolley Saga Station to Trolley Kameoka Station, taking about 25 minutes each way.From inside the train (all seats reserved), which runs along the Hozu River, you can see the boats of the Hozu River cruise.
There is also a service where the train stops along the way and the conductor guides the passengers. The open carriages are especially recommended. The open car is only No. 5 (The Rich) out of No. 1 to No. 5.
From the trolley train, you can enjoy the fresh greenery, cherry blossoms and autumn leaves planted along the tracks.The service period is from March 1 to December 29.Please see the official website for the operation schedule and how to purchase advance tickets.
Access to the Sagano Trolley Train from Kyoto Station takes about 16 minutes by JR.
